Around the World in Five Wines with Old Village Post House

Pack your taste buds, grab your travel companion, because the Old Village Post House is going around the world as we feature wines from Broadbent Selections Inc. on Thursday, October 18th at 6:30 pm.

Wine and Beverage Director Patrick Emerson has selected the finest wines from Broadbent Selections’ portfolio including wines from Spain, South Africa, Lebanon, and Portugal. These wines are paired perfectly with Executive Chef Frank Lee’s menu including fried local shrimp, seared New Bedford sea scallops, Palmetto pigeon breast and upside down apple cornbread cake.

Broadbent Selections Inc. is a boutique wine importer that represents wines that gratify not just the palate, but the soul. It was founded in 1996 with the mission to focus and showcase family-owned wineries producing wines that come from the heart. Quality and character: those are absolutes for Broadbent Selections and the great people behind the wines. Greg Perkins, National Southeast Manager for Broadbent Selections Inc., will be with us to provide in-depth tasting notes and background on the wines featured.

All you’ll need for this trip through the wines of the world is your taste buds and an appetite so be sure to join us on October 18th.  The dinner is $70 plus tax and gratuity. Reservations are required and must be made by calling 843.388.8935. Online reservations are not accepted for special dinners at this time.

The Old Village Post House is located at 101 Pitt Street at Venning, in the heart of Mt. Pleasant’s historic village. It is a property of Maverick Southern Kitchens, owners of Slightly North of Broad (Charleston), High Cotton (Charleston and Greenville) and Charleston Cooks! (Charleston and Greenville).
