David Bodle has officially filed as a candidate for the Myrtle Beach City Council and feels it’s time for a change.

Bodle is the former owner/ publisher of “The Carolina Explorer” and “The Virginia Explorer” magazines. Today, he is a consultant to a variety of tourism businesses and freelance writer contributing to print and online travel products. His company David’s Tour Connections, serves as a receptive tour operator for the Myrtle Beach Area. He also is a speaker and seminar facilitator.

He recently completed his fourth term as Chairperson of the Coastal Network Cooperative and continues to serve on its Board of Directors.  He has served on the Myrtle Beach Area Convention Bureau Committee and was the Travel South 2007 Showcase Host Committee Chairperson..

David Bodle says he is a fiscal conservative, public safety candidate, public transportation candidate, and a friend to tourism.  You can read about his position on these topics here.
