In colorful photos: Charleston July Fourth fireworks (updated)

Updates at the bottom.

The July Fourth holiday has come and gone, and while it's (thankfully) left us with a shortened work week, it's also given us a parting gift of some lovely photos.

The shot up top comes via Charleston techie/photographer Joseph Nienstedt, who has a slew more shots from his trip to Folly Beach last night in the form of a photo essay; see it here.

Meanwhile, Summerville photographer "Montwerx" has a slew of tight shots of the Summerville display; see them here.

And Flickr user the Rested Traveler has a single shot of starburst over a Lowcountry dock — how wonderfully local; see that here.

Update July 6: It's late to the show, but Drew Castelhano has posted a swell shot of fireworks painting the end of the Cooper River Bridge; see it here

That's it for now — but if you have a great shot, drop us an e-mail (charleston@thedigitel.com) or let us know in the comments below.
