It will be a night-sky watcher's dream.  Venus and Jupiter will be brilliant and appear closer together than they will again for the next several years.

For about four hours after sunset, the planets will appear in the western sky, approximately 60 degrees above land.  North Myrtle Beach Online has a great write-up, including tips for getting the best view of the planets, as well as a rundown of the other "actors in the night show" over the next several weeks.

Check out this video about the planets and the spectacular show they'll put on for us.  Everyone cross your fingers for clear skies.
