Think you have what it takes to trek through the woods and waterways like the Swamp Fox, Francis Marion did? How about on foot, bike, and boat with a bit of orienteering for good measure - you know for "just the hell of it?" Well if so, you are in good fortune.

The East Coast Adventure Racing Series kicks off its 2012 season in the Francis Marion National Forest just south of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The race is designed to cover approximately 55-60 miles, and participants are expected to complete the course in 10-12 hours. Individuals or up to four person teams will trek over the beautiful terrain of the Low Country in search of various checkpoints along the route. Blazing the course by various means of paddling, running, or biking, each stage is set to offer some challenging obstacles along the way.

Kando Adventures is presenting the first race of the 2012 East Coast Adventure Racing Series -  The Palmetto Swamp Fox Adventure Race. The race will take place on Saturday, March 17, 2012. For more info check out the links below.
