Socastee High School gets in on the Harlem Shake (Update: St. James too)

Update at the bottom...

First Report February 27th: The students at Socastee High School decided to take on the Internet's lates meme, The Harlem shake.

Some might not know what The Harlem Shake is, some might think it's still just a dance from the 1980's, here is what KnowYourMeme.com has to say:

“Harlem Shake”, not to be confused with the hip hop dance style, is the title of a 2012 heavy bass instrumental track produced by Baauer. In February 2013, the song spawned a series of dance videos that begin with a masked individual dancing alone in a group before suddenly cutting to a wild dance party featuring the entire group. Despite what the name suggests, the videos present a wide range of hip hop dances, including the Bernie,Twerking as well as improvisations.

Below we've added some other Harlem Shake videos from the area.

Update March 1st: Looks like St. James High School beat Socastee to the meme punch.

We've just been informed that St. James High also has a Harlem Shake video (below) and that their video was uploaded a full five days before Socastee's. St. James also has double the views.

Who's going to win in the Harlem Shake meme battle? Who did it better? You decided...
