Confederate General's desk donated to Charleston Museum

Lowcountry native and Confederate General Stephen Dill Lee's lap desk has been donated to the Charleston Museum.

The Antebellum-era box of mahogany and inlaid ivory is in near pristine condition despite being carried around Civil War battlefields.
