An old dog with new tricks: Barefoot Landing pet bakery returns

The Baker's Dog pet bakery is located in the same spot at Barefoot Landing as it's predecessor, The Bone Appetit Bakery. The general concept remains the same, but it's definitely not the same store.

The first thing you'll notice is the interior has been completely overhauled. The store was designed to be modern, yet inviting, by the owners Tracy Johnson and Paul Reynolds.  If you ever happened to visit the original Baker's Dog location at 67th Avenue, you'll definitely see some similarities. The Sun News has a nice write-up about the opening.

The product offerings have also changed slightly with the addition of some new flavors like Liver, Cheddar Cheese, and Peanut Butter Bone. Ingredients have also been changed to offer more soy free options for sensitive puppy tummies. A lot of the long-time favorite biscuits and treats are still available along with high quality toys and accessories.

The store is located on the front side of Barefoot Landing just beside the Sunglass Hut and Ultimate California Pizza. Dogs are welcome in the store as long as they are on a short leash (lock those flexi-leashes!) and owners responsibly watch their pooch in the small retail area.

Disclosure: Paul Reynolds, Co-Founder of TheDigitel Myrtle Beach is also Co-Owner of The Baker's Dog.
