Update October 11: The father of local Yen Ton who died at the West Virginia music festival has filed a lawsuit seeking unspecified damages.

First reporting July 20: A music festival in West Virginia took a tragic turn on Sunday after a car ran into a tent, causing a woman to die on top of one of her best friends.
Yen Ton, 21; Nicole Miller, 20; and Rosie Doran, 20 were longtime friends who traveled to the All Good Music Festival in Masontown, W.VA., to enjoy their shared love of live music.
But at 8:30 on Sunday morning, a tragic event occured. A man driving a pickup truck lost control of his vehicle and veered into the girls' tent. Miller was severely injured and trapped laying across Ton. She died mere minutes after the accident. "Her body was laying across mine when she died," Ton said.
Ton escaped the tragic accident uninjured; Doran needed 12 staples to take care of a head wound and had a broken pelvis.
Authorities are still investigating the incident; at this point, no charges have been filed.
