The new Ben Sawyer Bridge to Sullivan's Island opened just about a year ago, and it's already malfunctioned three times, stopping traffic.

The latest issues for the $30 million swing-span bridge was the failure of a $25 part on Wednesday evening — an issues that kept the bridge out of operation throughout the night and into Thursday morning.

And the third failure is something that has more than a few folks frustrated.
