South Carolina's SAT scores are painfully low

Average SAT scores dropped nine points for South Carolina’s high school seniors, that's 57 percent below the national average.
The State reports that scores dropped in all types of schools including public, private and parochial. Nationally, South Carolina ranks 47th out among the 50 states in SAT scores.
