The federal is investigating a case brought to them by the parents of black students whose schools have been shut down by the Charleston school board.

The parents are claiming the Charleston County School District has mistreated these black students and that they were racially discriminated against with the school closures.

Currently, there have been no determinations made by the Office for Civil Rights.

The Post and Courier has the story.
