New road connector in Hanahan to reduce chaotic crisscrossing

A quick right on Highland Park Road, then a quarter mile, then a right at the railroad tracks and 200 feet, and then a left on Murray Drive. 

That's the route many drivers take to avoid traffic on Rivers Avenue in Hanahan, and The Post and Courier that says not only is it odd but it's lead to a number of accidents. So drivers will rejoice in knowing a new quarter-mile road will soon make this a straight shot.
