Korey A. Moore died Saturday after being struck by lightning at the Mill Creek area of Lake Marion.

The 19-year-old from Swansea died at a medical center after being transported there. The county coroner said several people were on a boat and Moore and one other person were on jet skis at the time of the strike.

As a reminder, The National Weather Service recommends not being out on the water if storms are in the forecast and you have a boat without a cabin.
