Fire destroys four apartments, injures two firemen

A fire broke out around 4 p.m. Thursday at the Ashley Grove Apartments in West Ashley.

Ashley Hall Road was reported to be blocked from some 100 firefighters attempting to battle the flames before getting them mostly under control around 5.

Update 6:55 p.m.: Live 5 News updates that two firemen were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
