Myrtle Beach always ends up on the FBI's top crime per capita list. While most of us realize that is due to our transient tourist population, it still doesn't hold well. 

The nation, as a whole, is experiencing a downturn in violent crime, but it seems as if Myrtle Beach is holding at its higher numbers. Everything isn't all doom and gloom, though.  Toyna Root over at The Sun News has the breakdown of Horry Counties numbers.
