Charleston County School Superintendent Nancy McGinley promised to give teachers at least one duty-free lunch period every week by January 31st. March has arrived and plenty of teachers are still waiting on that free lunch.

A recent survey conducted by the Charleston Teacher Alliance talked to over 1,800 teachers, showing that 33% of teachers' school hadn't been adjusted to meet the one duty-free lunch period per week.

This issue will be addressed again on the alliance's next survey.

The Post and Courier has an in-depth report about this controversy; read it here.
