New road could relieve I-26 traffic
Image by Flickr user danieljohnsonjr We all know how much fun a traffic jam can be...no fun. No fun at all.
A new six-mile-long road called Commerce Parkway is expected to relieve traffic congestion on Interstate 26 in the Lowcountry.
The $36 million road will open with a ribbon cutting ceremony today. The road connects Ladson and Ashley Phosphate roads, running parallel to I-26 in an area that sees quite a bit of congestion during heavy traffic hours.
WCBD-TV 2 has a few more details about Commerce Parkway; check them out here.
