The U.S. Transportation Department's Bureau of Transportation Statistics released its report on domestic flight prices, and Charleston International Airport saw the greatest airfare increase in the country in the second quarter of this year.

Passengers paid an average of $461 in Charleston compared to $371 during the same period in 2009.

All we have to say after this report is this: thank goodness for Southwest Airlines!
