School buses running regular routes Thursday as talks continue

Update: A deal has been struck.

An absence of progress continues to hinder negotiations between Charleston County and Dorchester 2 school bus drivers, Teamsters Local 509, and their employer, Durham School Services.

However buses are continuing to run and ABC News 4 offers a video report on the question, "Is a compromise between Durham, school bus drivers any closer?"

The short answer seems to be, "no", but you can check out their report up top or over here.

With the threat of bus strike continuing to loom, The Post and Courier has assembled a resource page for parents looking to stay current with the latest information, or find alternative ways to get kids to school if a strike does hit; see the page here.
