Nine are running for four at-large Mount Pleasant Town Council seats on November 8 — and here's your connection to all you need to know.

On the field are incumbents Joe Bustos, Nick Collins, Thomasena Stokes-Marshall, and Ken Glasson, and newcomers George Freeman, W. Tate Mikell, Chris Nickels, Chris O'Neal, and Mark Smith.

We've linked their names to their campaign sites where you can learn more on each candidate, and The Post and Courier has published snippet bios on each (you can get those here). In a similar vein, Mount Pleasant Patch has a quote from each candidate on "Why they are running" (read that here).

If you'd like to delve deeper, Patch also has profiles of many of the candidates, here are linked headlines (I assume more are still in the works and we will update as they come):

If you can't decide on who to vote for, The Post and Courier has recommendations.

Paul Gawrych decided to not run for re-election.
