North Charleston mayor pushes to stop new port

Making good on his promise, North Charleston's mayor Keith Summey is challenging plans for a new port facility on the southern side of the city.

Namely, The Post and Courier reports that Summey is challenging an environmental impact study done on the import, saying it doesn't include proposed rail facilities.

Hop over to The Post and Courier for the latest.

Earlier, Summey had promised to make life dificult for port plans if politicians continue to push for running more rail through the city for use at the port.
