The proposed budget for the Town of James Island offers $1.6 million in general expenditures and about $1.7 in operating expenditures for a total of $3.38 million, roughly a half-million more than last year. The final budget will be present Tuesday, June 24.

The town expects to bring in $3.47 million in revenue and hopes its caution will pay off. The town has also cut reimbursement for the mayor and council.
