Charleston's U.S. House seat hotly contested

Though it's easy to forget, there's more than the presidential election this year. And just a few notches down, one of the U.S. House seats for South Carolina is being hotly contested by a Democrat.

Incumbent Republican Henry Brown squared off Tuesday in a final debate against Democrat challenger Linda Ketner.

The main talking points? You guessed it: Brown talked about energy and Ketner about financial reform. Head over to The Post and Courier for lots about the debate.

The 1st congressional district encompasses the Charleston County to Myrtle Beach area.

If you're not sure if you'll vote in this race, check your voter registration card or the state's online voter registration check.
