Charleston Place hotel is suing the Southern Republican Leadership Conference for its failure to pay $227,872 for lodging, food and beverages during the event which took place January 19-22.
Conference officials are disputing the claims, saying that they had an "unprofessional experience that directly and indirectly breached" the contract between the two parties that caused "great harm and distraction" to attendees.
The Post and Courier has a solid post on the matter; read it here.
