Charleston airport still a good ways from installing controversial body scanners

Spotted this brief over at The Post and Courier about how Charleston International Airport still doesn't have Advance Imaging Technology's controversial full body scanners and the group responsible for running the airport is considering a trip to Charlotte to get a better look at them.

You can check out the paper's brief over here (which may be worth a read alone for the unempathetic remarks by TSA local Federal Security Director for Charleston, Hilton Head, and Myrtle Beach airports.)

Takeaway: There are no immediate plans to add them in Charleston and that hopefully there's enough of delay that by the time we do get them locally, TSA will have some less awful policy in place.
