Proposal would allow 100-foot tall buildings on upper peninsula block in Charleston
Image by Flickr user Mr. T in DC Charleston isn't totally foreign to the concept of taller structures — nor is it foreign to debates on where they should be permitted.
While the Charleston peninsula contains many areas with 10-story or more buildings, most of those are located on the western half of town.
One developer says he sees another suitable spot: near the I-26-Crosstown-Cooper River Bridge interchange on Huger Street. Question is, what will Charleston City Council think?
