Alligator hunting season will come to South Carolina this year. The S.C. Department of Natural Resources will issue 1,000 permits.

Each permit will be valid to kill one of the estimated 100,000 alligators in the state.

This year the season will run from September 13 through October 11. To hunt an alligator you must have an alligator permit, which will cost $100.
