C of C ready to absorb the American College of the Building Arts

The College of Charleston is making plans to absorb the struggling American College of the Building Arts if necessary.

The American College of the Building Arts is the only school in America that offers a bachelor's degree in the traditional building arts. Unfortunately, the private institution is "limping along" financially and is in need of some serious funding.

No final decisions or proposals have been made in the matter as of yet, but John Paul Huguley, the founder of the American College of the Building Arts, said he strongly prefers that the school remain an independent nonprofit organization.
