If you're going to require heart surgery in South Carolina, Myrtle Beach is the place to be.  For the fourth consecutive year, Grand Strand Regional Medical Center was ranked number one in our state and in the top five percent of the nation.

The ranking is given by HealthGrades.com, a site that touts itself as "America’s most comprehensive source of information on hospitals and doctors" and "a recognized expert in measuring healthcare quality." You can read more about the site here.

Grand Strand Regional Medical Center's honor is found in the American Hospital Quality Outcomes 2013: Healthgrades Report to the Nation.  The Sun News has more information about their impressive cardiac surgery statistics.  You can also have a look at Grand Strand Regional Med's Heart Center site here.
