USC gets $5 million grant to study carbon sequestration

The University of South Carolina has received a grant to study the possibility of storing greenhouse emissions underground in South Carolina. 

It's a process known as carbon sequestration.

In a tweet the university said, "$4.9 million grant from DOE to the University of South Carolina calls for study of South Georgia Rift basin & underground storage of CO2."
