About 30 workers from Blackbaud have committed their time and energy to building an oyster reef along Daniel Island's waterfront.

The volunteers are teaming up with the state Department of Natural Resources for the reef project that will provide more than 1.5 million oysters in the first year and serve to filter as much as 2 million gallons of water a day.
