Mondo's Delite has become a local staple, and after 10 years in business, they're still serving up food that will get your taste buds humming without breaking the bank. It's located on James Island, on Folly Road near Camp Road, so if you're down that way, check it out.

In honor of the occasion, The Post and Courier has done a write-up on the Italian restaurant, sharing some of the high points of its menu, and extolling the food's moderate prices.

From The Post and Courier:

The folks at Mondo's have managed to channel into our loyalty and culinary love affair with the red-sauced, ricotta-stuffed, garlic-oil perfumed foods of the Italian south and they have done it very well.

They have wisely provided their diners with an option for portion control with salads available in full and half sizes, soups by the cup or bowl, pastas simply sauced or topped with chicken, salmon, shrimp or veal. Even meatballs come by the "each."

The food is generous in serving, restrained in pricing and satisfying to the many devotees of Mondo's.

According to the review, some of the top choices are the sausage rigatoni and the eggplant parmesan. But there are tons of options (for vegetarians, too!), so go wild.
