Myrtle Beach pro-sports ramping up with tryouts (Update: Round 2 for soccer)

Update February 3, 2012: Myrtle Beach FC is having their Round 2 tryouts this Saturday, February 4, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Socastee Park.

Over 70 players showed up for the Round 1 tryout see the photo album here. The Round 2 tryouts are mandatory for selected Round 1 players but also open to the public, including unpicked Round 1 players. Myrtle Beach FC has also been busy closing sponsorship deals with folks like Fanny Mat and Inlet Affairs.

Palmetto Havoc has posted on their Facebook page that they have set a pre-season conditioning schedule. 


Both the Palmetto Havoc football program and the Myrtle Beach FC soccer are gearing up for their upcoming seasons. 

Myrtle Beach FC preparing for their first season

Starting at 1:30 p.m. on January 28, 2012, the Myrtle Beach FC will hold open tryouts. You will need shin guards and cleats. The application fee is $40 and you can sign up online. Tryouts will take place at the football club's recently announced home pitch, Socastee Park. Palmetto Havoc is looking for players and staff 

Starting at 11:30 a.m. on January 28, 2012, the Palmetto Havoc will hold their open tryouts. The application fee is $25 and tryouts will be at the fields the opposite side of 501 from Coastal Carolina University. The squad is also looking for a general manager, assistant general manager, atheletic trainer, and support staff. They also have intern arrangements with Horry-Georgetown Tech and Coastal Carolina.
