A 23-year-old man bicycling on Morris Street in downtown Charleston was shot three times by an unknown assailant just after midnight on Tuesday morning.

The victim, Cordelria Germain Jefferson, was shot in the lower left thigh, his left hip and the palm of his left hand.

Oddly enough, the assailant fled without robbing Jefferson and apparently had no motive for the attack. Whether this pans out to be a senseless, random crime or something a little more sticky, the Charleston police are looking for any information pertaining to the crime.

The Post and Courier has the report along with Crime Stopper's contact information.
