An employee at downtown Charleston's Gilroy's Pizza was attacked by a man after the employee confronted him about stealing out of the restaurant's tip jar.

It all went down on Sunday night after the employee, who wishes to remain unnamed, followed the suspect out onto King Street after watching him pocket $10 from the Gilroy's tip jar. After being told he needed to return the money, the man slashed the employee's face with a sharp object and jetted away on a bicycle.

Police picked up Alonda Barron Desaussure, hours later, and he has been charged with armed robbery and first-degree assault and battery.

As for the employee, he's doing just fine.
