An eight month undercover investigation into heroin and crack cocaine distribution in Charleston's East and West Side neighborhoods culminated in 15 arrests of 30 suspected dealers.

Many of those arrested are repeat offenders, some out of jail on bail for charges ranging from murder to assault. Half are on probation or parole.

On a lighter note, police chief Greg Mullen said the raids put a major dent in the city's drug trafficking network and will have a positive impact on the community.

The Post and Courier has the breaking news as well as a complete list of the 30 suspects and their charges.
