Charleston County deputy shot on James Island; Grimball Road shut down (update: suspect charged)

Update January 22:

The police have arrested a suspect.

Evening update:

Both of the stories linked to below have been updated throughout the day, and now include the name of the deputy.

First reporting:

A Charleston County Sheriff's Department deputy has been shot and sent to MUSC with critical injuries after responding to a James Island call. 

A large police response has been executed following the incident and traffic is being diverted and nearby schools are on lockdown.

The Post and Courier seems to have the best reporting; though NBC News 2 seems to have more current info.
