The Post and Courier has an article on the recent rash of unrelated sex crimes that has local authorities on high alert.

Just this week an 82-year-old woman was robbed and raped, a 4-year-old disabled girl was victimized, and another woman was assaulted in a North Charleston bathroom. And now, Folly Beach police are investigating a July 15th incident where a woman woke up on the side of the road with all signs indicating she'd been slipped a date-rape drug and sexually assaulted.

Suspects have already been charged in two of the four cases.
