Dozens of animals were taken from a Hollywood home Wednesday afternoon, suspected of having been mistreated. The seized animals included chickens, geese, dogs, goats, rabbits, and a cat.

From Live 5 News:

The Charleston County Sheriff's Office says deputies found 40-50 chickens, geese and ducks as well as 2 dogs, 1 puppy, 2 goats, 15-20 rabbits, and 1 cat in the home. According to the Sheriff's office, all of the animals appeared to be malnourished or in need of medical care.

All of the animals will either be taken to the shelter on Remount Road or foster care after examination by a vet. The owner of the property, Robert Gilliard Sr., is facing charges of Ill Treatment to Animals.
