Update December 21: Older brother Deangelo Mitchell has been arrested and granted a $400,000 bond.

He is charged with involuntary manslaughter in his brother's death, and also faces cocaine trafficking charges.

First reporting: In late November, 20-year-old Wayne Joshua Mitchell, died in police custody a short while after he and his older brother, 23-year-old Deangelo Rashard Mitchell, were arrested on cocaine trafficking charges.

The alleged sequence of events — that is supported by video evidence — is that while younger brother Wayne and Deangelo sat in the rear of the cop car, Deangelo encouraged his younger brother to eat the evidence.

Wayne died a short while later.

Many reports abound, but the better comes by way of The Post and Courier; take a read here.

Police are still searching for Deangelo, who posted bail before the sequence of events was realized.

We'll be sure to keep you posted as this one evolves.
