A six-vehicle wreck on an I-526 overpass caused injuries to three and the death of MUSC student Lauren Elyse Baccari, and now the driver of the tractor-trailer involved, Arnold Bradford Williams, has been charged with reckless homicide, arrested, and had his bail set at $100,000.

Williams was originally charged with felony DUI, but the booking was then overturned after further review by the North Charleston Police Department.

Baccari, 27, was driving in traffic at the I-526 interchange at Rivers Avenue when her Acura was pinned under Williams' skidding 18-wheel truck. Both her body and her car were deemed unrecognizable, save a new wedding ring on her finger.

Three others were sent to the hospital, including one person who suffered a broken nose and other bone fractures from the accident.
