A 28-year old woman was arrested at Ashley Hall on Monday after allegedly pointing a gun at two staff members and pulling the trigger multiple times.

The gun did not fire and no one was injured.

Alice Boland, a Beaufort native with a history of mental illness, was charged with attempted murder, two counts of pointing a firearm, unlawful carrying of a firearm and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime. Her total bail is $900,000.

This is not Boland's first offense on the grounds of the private school. Two years ago, police responded to a report that Boland was behaving suspiciously and harassing students.
