Charleston schools look to expand use of iPads

Citing high parent, student, and teacher satisfaction with pilot programs that put iPads in Charleston County schools, the school district looks likely to expand the program in the 2012-13 school year with a $1.35 million investment.

The Charleston County School Board has also taken to using the devices to up the convenience factor of school board duties.

Down the road, the Beaufort County School recently approved $1.8 million to buy iPads for the local students.
