South Carolina's temp agencies say business is a-boomin'

With South Carolina's unemployment rates reaching record highs and workers continue to be laid off form their full-time jobs, in a strange twist of fate, Lowcountry temporary agencies say the past few months have been remarkable.

The U.S. Labor Department announced that payrolls at temp agencies has increased for five straight months as consumers are finally starting to become bold and spend thier disposable income again. Business owners are thrilled, but are still weary of hiring back full-time employees during this time of unstable economic recovery. And bam, in steps the temporary agency.

Sure, finding work through a temporary agency is a great way for white collar workers to make ends meet for the time being, but the concern now is whether the temporary jobs turn into permanent positions.
