Lucky owner of a South Carolina Education Lottery lottery ticket worth more than $500? Well you won't be lucky enough to redeem tickets worth up to $100,000 at the Mount Pleasant claims center after Friday, January 14, 2011.

The Lottery is closing that one and the one in Greenville to cut costs.

To claim winning amounts up to and including $100,000, players can either visit the Lottery’s Columbia Claims Center or redeem their winnings by mail. For winnings that exceed $100,000, winners must come in person to the Columbia Claims Center to redeem the ticket. Prizes up to and including $500 can be redeemed at any lottery retail location.
