Port of Charleston, South Carolina container shipping volume continues to grow

Last month the S.C. State Ports Authority noted that Charleston ports were now exporting as much as they were importing, and now the group has seen the highest number of containers shipped in a month since October 2008.

That traffic for March 2012 (135,000 containers) represents a 36% rebound from the groups lowest volume in August 2009.
