The Port of Charleston closed out 2010 with an almost 17% increase in container volume.

With 12-consecutive months of year-over-year container cargo growth in 2010, the Port's CEO, Jim Newsome said that while the upswing is expected to level, officials expect positive results to continue in 2011.

The Charleston Regional Business Journal has the good word as well as more 2011 port developments.
