Dollar General discount chain has announced that they'll be experimenting with alcohol sales in nearly all of its locations in the Charleston region.

According to The Post and Courier, recently filed legal notices show the chain is seeking approval from the state Department of Revenue to sell beer and wine for off-premise consumption. The sale of adult beverages has already begun in parts of Florida and Tennessee.

No word yet if the beer and wine at Dollar General will be cheaper than other sports, but here's hoping!

The Post and Courier has the brief.
