(Updates at the bottom.)

As was expected, the signing of a new agreement between the Machinists union and Boeing has lead to the National Labor Relations Board dropping its highly debated complaint that Boeing had acted unfairly in opening a South Carolina 787 plant.

I'll pint you to BusinessWeek's report for the full story.

Update December 19: While the big dispute between the National Labor Relations Board and Boeing is over, there seems to be some trailing matters left.

Namely, three local Boeing employees who are miffed and suspicious of how quickly the deal was concluded on a conference call and how they were excluded from participation.

The Post and Courier has some scant details.

Time will tell if this grows.
